Kenninghall Primary School is a thriving rural school at the heart of a vibrant community.  The school has developed from its Victorian beginnings to boast a modern extension, innovative technology and extensive grounds alongside its beautiful original building.

The school prides itself on the results the children achieve, Many of our children leave to go to High School having achieved above the national and local averages for progress and attainment in Maths and English.  Our curriculum is based around an ‘enquiry approach’, which provides children with investigative questions to develop their thinking and understanding of a particular issue, whilst developing their key literacy and numeracy skills.  This allows children to look in depth at topics that interest and intrigue them.  This is one of the reasons OFSTED identified the ‘outstanding behaviour of pupils and their enjoyment of learning as a strength of the school.

Our school focuses on providing an enthralling, engaging curriculum that develops the whole child.  We have impressive grounds for a village school and use these to integrate outdoor education into the wider curriculum.  We take part in (and have been very successful!) in a range of local sports tournaments.  Children take part in a range of visits, activities and projects that help their understanding of their local environment and the world around them.

All of the above is made possible by the dedicated staff, polite and enthusiastic children and the supportive community of parents and governors who are all dedicated to helping their children and school to succeed.
