Week 5 - 2 December 2022

This week in Goshawks, we welcomed you as the parents in to join us at our Maths Cafe. Thank you to everyone who came along, it was great to see so many of you there and I hope that you enjoyed the opportunity to work alongside your children in a series of maths challenges. In Science we have investigated the process of evaporation while in English we have been finishing our model write diary entries from the perspective of Maya. We finished our class book, 'Secrets of a Sun King' today too. 

In Maths we have been focusing our times tables and have learnt our 6, 7 and 9 times tables. We are getting very good at noticing patterns, learning about the commutative and understanding all of the related facts with regards to a single multiplication sentence. We need your help to beat the White Tailed Eagles in the latest TTR battle. Well done to our winners of the most valuable player certificates this week. 

Next week we will be listening to a new artist of the week, following on from the success of James TW this week. As well as this we will be doing lots of practicing for our carol concert. 

It is December, so the countdown to Christmas is on!
