Week 4 - 7th October

This week was very exciting for us in Goshawk class. 

We received a visit from Portals of the Past, who gave us an experience of the Ancient Egyptians. We learnt about the mummification process as well as the importance of the burial of a Pharaoh. We took part in a ceremony and experienced the placing of the body in the tomb. 

We also got to play an Ancient Egyptian board game called Hounds and Jackals. We all had a go at an Ancient Egyptian quiz, learning some great information about the period. 

In other areas of the curriculum, we have begun work on our Lowry inspired 'genre paintings' and have been planning our explanation texts, with a twist, all about the Digestive System.
