Halloween

As it was Halloween today, we had lots of spooky activities set up for the children to explore. We started off by helping a witch with her spell and potion making. Children sorted some ingredients based on the phonic sound they began with and then had a go at writing their own potion ingredient lists. We also used some recipe cards to count out how many of each ingredient was needed and the children created a dark den to use the Halloween torch light.
Outside, we had a slime station with lots of creepy crawlies as well as a potion making area. Children enjoyed hammering golf tees into a pumpkin and exploring the sensory tray.
