Admission Arrangements

Kenninghall Primary School offers 15 reception places each year.

We manage our admissions through Norfolk County Council and you should make your application by the 15th January 2026 to be considered for your preferred school place.

If your child turns 4 years old between 1st September and 31st August, they are eligible for a full time school placement at the beginning of the September following their 4th birthday.

Places are offered based on the following criteria:

1.  Looked after children and previously looked after children

2. Children who are in receipt of an EHCP (Education Health and Care Plan)

3. Children, living in the catchment area, with a sibling already attending the school

4. Children living in the catchment area of the school

5. Any remaining allocations are based on children living outside of the catchment area, with a sibling link, or other exceptional circumstance such as a medical need or involvement with social care

If 2 or more children fit the final criteria under which children are admitted, then the direct distance between the family home and the school will be used to make the decision.
