Kingfishers Cross Country Run – Tuesday 6th March 2012

I would like to inform you that the Kingfishers will be taking part in the South Norfolk School Partnership Cross Country Run. The run will take place midday on Tuesday 6th March at Diss Rugby Club; the children will get there by coach.

The run is a great opportunity for the children to have fun whilst representing the school.

Please make sure your child has their P.E kit including trainers on that day.

Many thanks, Miss Eccleshall.

Bring Your Mum to School

Friday 16th March is ‘Bring Your Mum to School’. This is an opportunity to come in and work alongside your child or children. The session runs from 9:10am to 10:30am and as Spring is approaching we thought it would be nice to do some Spring crafts.

On your arrival please wait in the hall, whilst we register the children and then your child or children will come and collect you.

There will be activities running in each classroom and the children will be in their coloured teams, so all siblings will be together. All the children will be taking part in the activities and will work with the staff, if you are unable to attend, but if your child’s grandmother, aunt or older sibling want to come along then that’s fine. I’m sure it will be a fun morning and we hope you can come.

World Book Day – 1st March 2012

We will be celebrating World Book Day on 1st March. There will be reading activities all afternoon involving children reading to younger children and class activities based around a story.

Look out on the website for the photos!

Your child will be bringing a £1 book token home on World Book Day which can used at participating bookshops towards the cost of a book.

We are looking forward to an enjoyable World Book Day.

Kind regards,
Mrs J. Stones
